England was the nation that ruled against video technology when the irish brought it up against fifa. If only they listened.....

Germany look like the much better team, I expect them to knock argentina out again.

Link?

We've be calling out for it at club level football in the past over and over again and even called out for it before this Germany match. Its a big issue that the majority as a nation have wanted resolved for a long time.

Yeah I remember the goal that Mendes scored in the Old Trafford back then but your MU bitches didn't care about "the technology" back then.

@Shinji,we'll see about that.

Of course Man United fans aren't going to demand technology at that moment because the luck came our way, not to mention the demand for it at back then wasn't even as it has been over these past few years. But in general in today's time the demand for the technology has been high regardless of what team someone supports and that's been with club level football as well as international.

That incident raised the subject a lot more back then but it was more of a case of the FA not taking the case to Fifa and it just dropped dead before it could become a major talking point, every Man U fan will admit that goal was as clear as day. Not that I could discuss that subject in this thread since I wasn't even a member of this site back then.

It wouldn't have changed much if they had taken the issue to Fifa, the subject of goal line technology has been going for a while and fifa are just too damn reluctant to do something about this.

There was even a worse decision which took place either in the championship or league 1(cant remember) where the ball hit the crossbar and was given as a goal, even tho the ball bounced backwards and nowhere near the net. If I could find the video it will be clearer to see what I mean.

but man the 2 decisions yesterday were shit, England played horribly so I doubt how much it could have changed the outcome of the game but Mexico were showing good promise up to the point they conceded that crappy offside goal which forced them to play in a shaken state for the rest of the game.

Anyways, we need to wait and see how Fifa will react after the WC.

They won't do anything. The officiating in general this World Cup has been laughable, far too many referees unable to handle the pressure and today again in the Argentina vs Mexico game we saw another mistake that completely changed that match. Before the offside goal the match was 50/50, soon as Argentina scored the game changed completely. But the higher ups probably won't even batter an eyelid.
