Arsenal confirmed today that Ramsey will miss the rest of the season. He underwent an operation and it was successful.

I wish him a speedy recovery, the kid has an exploding talent and I hope he doesn't lose it.

It's time for Arsenal to step up and win the league. For Ramsey.

I'm not an Arsenal fan But I do think that they have a pretty legitimate shot at winning the premiership. Do I think they will win? No I think United and Chelsea have too much experience when it somes to the truly big games whereas Arsenal still have a young team, however I won't count out Arsenal as they do have the skill necessary to win.

Also, United won the league cup, Villa played well but just didn't quite have enough possession to make a real difference.

I thought it was great the Terry snub! I'm not a fan of either team but well done Man City, Chelsea just looked lost after halftime and the Tackle on Tevez, not on Ballack, sooky sooky! LOL :-p

The stoke player who tackled ramsay had an unblemished record when playing, he even looked torn up over it. It's a shame that it happened but no need punishing a guy who has never been shown to play with any malicious intent. Soccer has always been like this, people are going to get hurt at times.

As far as I know he should be getting a 3 match ban for a straight red card, it doesn't matter what type of record you have.

Yeah the tackle was a 50/50 situation, i know some arsenal fans might go ballistic and over the top regarding the tackle but judging on how the player reacted after he broke Ramsey's foot i think its pretty obvious that he never wanted to cause such an injury.

And ofcourse the 3 match ban will happen, its the red card rule afterall but i feel for Ramsey, sucks when promising prospects get their careers hindered by injuries as serious as this one.

On the friendlies i did watch:

England 3 - 1 Eygpt

I was not completely assured by the win over eypgt; as much as crouch is a good striker and the way england plays works for him i dont see him having the same effect against the defences of teams like germany. I felt our main hope, rooney, should be working off plays to count goals against teams like eypgt. The biggest thing i now fully realise though is how fast and immense the english wings are, lennon, walcott, jenas and wright philips are gonna make the english game that much quicker and hopefully get them out of that unsure, half attacking - half defending, stupor they always seem to achieve. If beckham or more hopefully Joe Cole are called up as options to get some experiance and skills in their it would make my day, Joe cole was mad sick in 2006.

Brazil 2 - 0 Ireland

Ireland did alright and were robbed horribly for one goal due to bad linesmanship. Their goalkeeper played amazing and their backline did break up a fair few plays from the brazilians, it was more a battle of mental stamina for the irish when under constant attack than a lack of defensive ability. It was an example of brazilian pure attacking style though i think a little bit withdrawn pacewise because of the world cup and the fact that the irish like to inflict pain, hopefully they up the anty' so they are as entertaining to watch in the world cup.

Other Results.
Spoiler:

Macedonia 2 - 1 Montenegro

Ivory Coast 0 - 2 South Korea
-(Perhaps a good example of technicality over athleticisim; shows promise in SK)

Armenia 1 - 3 Belarus

Georgia 2 - 1 Estonia

Greece 0 - 2 Senegal
(I gather greece played their old team and got banged, the senegal freekick was goood.)

Angola 1 - 1 Latvia

Cyprus 0 - 0 Iceland

Slovakia 0 - 1 Norway

Bosnia-Herzegovina 2 - 1 Ghana

Moldova 1 - 0 Kazakhstan

Nigeria 5 - 2 Congo DR

Malta 1 - 2 Finland

Turkey 2 - 0 Honduras

Algeria 0 - 3 Serbia

Hungary 1 - 1 Russia

South Africa 1 - 1 Namibia

Romania 0 - 2 Israel

Luxembourg 1 - 2 Azerbaijan

Switzerland 1 - 3 Uruguay

Austria 2 - 1 Denmark
(Disapointing...)

Poland 2 - 0 Bulgaria

Albania 1 - 0 Northern Ireland

Belgium 0 - 1 Croatia

Germany 0 - 1 Argentina (I wish i had watched this game.)

Netherlands 2 - 1 United States
(the US still need to grow some balls for the wc, that said they are missing their wonder boy which is probably having some damaging effect on their confidence. Dont see why england cant win.)

Slovenia 4 - 1 Qatar

Wales 0 - 1 Sweden

France 0 - 2 Spain
(Got to love spain with their exciting football, as for the french, they have too many good players this year, good to see them get put in their place before they go from highly to extremely arrogant)

Scotland 1 - 0 Czech Republic
(Yes scotland hah!)

Portugal 2 - 0 China

Venezuela 1 - 2 Panama

El Salvador 1 - 2 Guatemala

New Zealand 0 - 2 Mexico

Italy 0 - 0 Cameroon
