I still think that Hitsugaya is no match for Halibel. Hitsugaya was at offense, but still Halibel was able to dodge his attack and counter, cutting of his tail, despite being surpprised.

And everybody used to say it was just fangirlism when i used to say hitsu could overpower halibel HAHAHHAAHA
GO Hitsugaya! Man, he's just awesome...out of all, even Ichigo, Soi Fon, Kyouraku etc. he's holding himself best. Hitsu vs Halibel is almost (i emphasize almost) as Hichigo vs Ulquiorra.
Totally overwhelming!!!

I sense that it could end like first duel with Ulqiorra, with Halibel tanking the most powerful Hitsugaya's attack. And I hope so.

it's kinda bone chilling (no pun intended) that hitsu mentioned that he controls ALL WATER and controlling the heavens somehow proves it. makes u want to really fear him, especially that last scene in 358. but im still kinda nervous how the battle will really turn out.

The "controlling heavens" part sounds to me like hubris, because the water is about 0,01 % of atmosphere. The one who would utilize the potential of atmosphere would be Yamamoto with fire-type zanpakutou, because the 21 % of air is oxygen, powerful boost for burning processes.

IMO, Histugaya won't stand a chance against someone, who would be able to control water at molecular level. He or she would split water on hydrogen and oxygen, surround Hitsugaya with invisible hydrogen and use oxygen from atmosphere as powerful boost. I doubt that many of Captain level Shinigami would survive such inferno, which would start after triggering the explosion.

and about the most recent chapter... im so interested in seeing Hyorinmaru's TRUE power :)
I think Hitsu may have a chance again Hali because he seems to be planning more that fighting... he knows in power he is weaker but in a battle strength isnt everything... Hitsu is a great tactician and I hope Kubo suprises us with what he could do :)

After a long absence...

I really enjoyed the latest chapter, it really made Hitsu cool again for me. I'm really glad to see new abilities and I'm really interested in this latest one. It's nice to see that "the strongest ice zanpaktou" is actually living up to the namesake. I have a little theory forming in my mind and I'll be interested to see if it's true. Regardless, I won't be surprised if Halibel ends up surviving this attack and taking him out.

It's rather like hubris to me and a proof that Kubo don't get laws of nature. The only man who draw on full power from atmosphere is Yamamoto.

Water = less than 0,01 %
Oxygen= 21 %

yeah that´s true, but water is everywhere in the air, so he can control the whole sky, even if the water percent are only so low.
