Ooo... that is an intersting thought... I wonder if we'll ever see him get to that point... One of the reasons I love him so much (aside from the fact that his zan is ice/water based and blue is my fav color...) is the fact that he's quite powerful in his own right, but not fully developed like the other captains that have been around for a looooong time, and thus have had time to master their bankai and such... I like how passionate he is about things... like his relationship with Momo and even with Rangiku... I think we have in a way seen him progress a bit as a character... before he had the ice flowers and I think now he doesn't have them (I'm re-reading and re-watching Bleach so the specifics are slightly off with what I recall :P )

So I agree ... the idea of him forming a more dragonlike state during his bankai would be fucking bad ass!

Is there actually any evidence to suggest his bankai has another stage? I've only been watching the anime Hitsugaya's bankai already looks pretty well developed to me.
