Totally agreed, its kinda weird when I see him in the early eps now, thinking "HES A SHINIGAMI TOO!!! 8D"

His Zan, his rank, his expulsion from SS (or did he voluntarily leave? Im hoping it wasnt due to "love for Ichigos mum" :/ ) , just... everything :D

I hope he stays as awesome once we know his history.

Well we are going to see a whole arc of him .so we are going to find out then about his zan . we just need to have patience

i think that it was stated before in TBTP, that u cannot voluntarily leave SS or shinigamis. U either die or r in SS/seireitei...

What I mean is, did he make the decision to leave?
Obviously his departure might make him a fugitive or something, idunno....

He was sent to hunt the Vizards, so getting away would be easy. All he needs is reiatsu cloaking gigai & he's gone.
