LOL, yeah, what to do?
The Big Horn's are amazing. An extension of the Rockies, they are mostly in Wyoming, and man....I have never seen a sky like this. 9500 feet gets rid of all the smog, and light filter? What? I knew I was always missing a bunch of stars, but holy shit. You could walk around at night perfectly well because there were so many stars and the sky was so clear. I took a hike one night with my friend who was on vacation with us because he decided he needed to drop like 400lbs of sheet rock on his leg, and I got to the top of this "hill" and it was like a different planet.
I am somewhat of a traveler, I would love to do this more, but time/money don't allow me to during the good season, because our show season for the horses I train is between March and October. Well by late Sept there can be feet of snow up there. That is hard to pull trailers in and out on your schedule, so for a few more years I probably won't get north like that up in the mountains with my horses again. Maybe once we are more established I can though.
If you have the means, do it. Travel young. It is amazing how time gets away.
