Just keep in mind people, not everyone's mind is wired 100% correctly, and animals help them many times to socialize, and sort of reset the clock. To write off the animal as just some pet, when it may clearly be more is fucking stupid. ALSO I know this town, I lived there for 23 fucking years, no one died due to this, there are at least 10 ambulance houses in this town.

A fine will do. A fine for the time wasted is the proper response and is all someone needs in a time like this. Fuck, jailing someone and wasting taxpayer money for misusing 911 ambulance service. No wonder our governments are over budget. We are worried about jailing for this.....Lets keep it in perspective people.

Anyway, all this emotional crap about animals doesn't matter. No one said that animals don't serve a purpose. However, they aren't important enough for ambulance services.

In the end, these folks wasted a bunch of time, money, and
broke laws. Don't like the law? Well go do something about it. Call your senator lol. In the mean time, calling 911 for stupid shit is punishable by fines and jail time in most states.

Unlike animals, humans have volition to choose their own purpose or the lack of it, that's why we don't just get born, fuck, eat, kill and then die.

I bolded the only important part of your post. It really doesn't matter how you think things "should" be. It pretty much sums up your whole post, which is a bunch of elaboration on how you think things should be. Like I said, take that "should be" stuff to your senator. In real life, jail time can come from calling 911 for a bad reason.

It's important to note that if they wouldn't have lied, then they probably would've just gotten a harsh reproach from dispatcher and nothing would have come from it. However, the deceit show that they were aware that they were doing something wrong, and they chose to do it anyway.
