But theres everything wrong with X-2.... to the point of it barely deserving a place in the series. I can see you're a fan of Paine, and i admit i have not played the game. But a direct sequel to a FF game, with "Sexing up" of characters, giving a High Summoner dual pistols while she's on break from her J-Pop band so she can planet hop the globe (Jump function?!) looking for the boyfriend she dreamed into existence in order to retcon the ending of the relevant game its based on just to bring back the first and most irritating main character of any FF game in order to cash in on the fame while using bare originality and to give to option of outfit-swapping in a feeble attempt to placate female gamers which in itself is an outdated sexist tactic, the concept of which (using lovely outfit choices to please the ladies) should have died the day the pants-suit came in female dimensions.

Then again thats just my opinion.

FF 5 was the series at its summit, and it peaked at 9 if you ask me.

agreed. X-2's storyline does suck. But as a game it is more fun than any other Final Fantasy I've played. This is just my opinion, don't flame me >.<

If I had to judge the game by it's storyline (like most of the FF fans like to do) then I would probably have to go with VII :P

I have Final Fantasy I,II,III,VI,VII, VII- Dirge of Cerberus, VIII,IX,X,X-2 (which I think was a very pointless sequel), XII, and two games which I never completed because I found them pointless- Tactics Advance and Crystal Chronicals.
